Mary Kutter is on a roll! The ink has barely dried on her publishing deal with Reservoir Media and less than a month out from the release of her excellent EP, "180", she's back at it on top form with "Build Your Own House". Anyone familiar with her catalog will knows she doesn't shy away from the topic of female empowerment, and this is another prime example. With all the hallmarks of a fun, bouncy country classic, she tackles all of the struggles of being a woman in a world of double standards with grace, ease, and humor. I'm not one to use the "D" word lightly, but she's showing shades of Dolly. You can hear her steadfast resolve and positive outlook in the chorus when she sings "if you see a glass ceiling go build your own house". This is one for fans of the female country superstars you know by one name- Reba, Loretta, and of course, Dolly.
