John Eason - “The Last Damn That I Gave”

John Eason - “The Last Damn That I Gave”

“The fire’s still burning out back, where we said I do.” John Eason is pulling no punches with this ode to a relationship that went down in flames. Lonesome nihilism rarely sounds THIS good. With all the hallmarks of a country classic, this waltz is packed with dripping steel guitar and John’s signature velvet snarl of a voice. It’s like listening to Chris Stapleton sing Hank Williams. John is burning all of the memories of his ex, but with them he’s keeping the fires of vintage country alive, and we all should be grateful to bask in that warmth if even for a few minutes.

“The Last Damn That I Gave” is out 2/17 on all streaming platforms, pre-save: https://smithmusic.ffm.to/662582891829
