Brandt Carmichael is a man with two wolves inside of him. If you follow his catalog, you'll know he had a fiery 2022... songs like "Next Weekend" and "Fireball" show a bit of a wildman at play. "Better In Tennessee", on the other hand, showcases the side of Brandt that craves love and stability. Opening up with a wash of lonely pedal steel, he sings longing for a gal that's living a thousand miles away. You can tell a part of him longs for a quaint, simple life when he sings "you'd look better in an old farm house, kids and a dog just running around". There are shades of Eric Church in his sound, and this song would sound right at home on The Big 98 here in Nashville.
"Better In Tennessee" is out February 2nd.
